Ridgewalk & Run : corporate challenge

On October 21, 2007, the 15th Annual Ridgewalk & Run will see 900 participants walking or competitively running along wooded trails amidst some of the most spectacular fall scenery in New York State . There are many ways to participate. For businesses and organizations, there is the Corporate Challenge.

The Corporate Challenge feature of the Ridgewalk & Run is not a fundraiser, but a free and exciting way for businesses to compete for the honor of the largest proportion of their employees participating in the event. All businesses that participate will receive recognition.

Awards consisting of a plaque, certificate of appreciation, and group photo will be presented to the organizations with the highest percentage of their total workforce participating, in two categories:

• small-business division ( 20 to 49 employees )
• large-business division ( 50 or more employees )

2006 Ridgewalk & Run Corporate Challenge winners:

• Small-Businesses Division - Richardson & Stout Insurance Co.
• Large-Businesses Division - Wellsville School District

Corporate Challenge encourages businesses to motivate their personnel to enjoy a fun and healthful day of physical activity amidst inspiring natural scenery. Each Ridgewalk entry form includes a checkbox where participants can signify that they are participating in the Corporate Challenge on behalf of your company. Companies that actively encourage their employees to register as Corporate Challenge participants stand the best chance of success in this competition

The continuing cooperation and assistance of area businesses and the participation of their employees in this event have helped make Ridgewalk & Run the premier autumn event in Western New York.
