Ridgewalk & Run : Corporate Challenge

On October 17, 2010, the 18th Annual Ridgewalk & Run will see over 1,000 participants walking or competitively running along wooded trails amidst some of the most spectacular fall scenery in New York State. There are many ways to participate. For businesses and organizations, there is the Corporate Challenge.

The Corporate Challenge feature of the Ridgewalk & Run is not a fundraiser, but a free and exciting way for businesses to compete for the honor of the largest proportion of their employees participating in the event. Awards will be presented to the organizations with the highest percentage of their total workforce participating.

2008 Ridgewalk & Run Corporate Challenge winners:

• Businesses Division 15-29 Employees - Richardson & Stout Insurance Co.
• Business Division 100-299 Employees - Wellsville School District
• Business Division 300+ Employees – Allegany ARC


Corporate Challenge encourages businesses to motivate their personnel to enjoy a fun and healthful day of physical activity amidst inspiring natural scenery; or to work behind the scenes as a Ridgewalk Team Volunteer. 

Each Ridgewalk Participant Entry Form and Volunteer Registration Form includes a checkbox where participants can signify that they are participating in the Corporate Challenge on behalf of your company.

Companies that actively encourage their employees to register as Corporate Challenge participants or volunteers stand the best chance of success in this competition.  The continuing cooperation and assistance of area businesses and the participation of their employees in this event have helped make Ridgewalk & Run the premier autumn event in Western New York.
